Can Obama Save The Economy?

ChristiaNet.com, the world's largest Christian portal with nine million monthly page loads, recently asked, "Can Obama save the economy?" "A majority of Christians do not believe that President Obama can save the economy," said Bill Cooper, president of ChristiaNet.
With over 1,200 Christians responding to the survey, 48% said that they do not believe that President Obama can save the economy. "The bail out is for the purpose of trying to continue with the credit-induced economy and it will not work," said one responder, adding, "It did not work in the New Deal as WW II brought us out of that depression." Another Christian stated: "Handing out money to people who are not working is just increasing the tax burden for those of us who pay." Another responder objected to the President's policies and views, stating "You can't fix an economy with socialistic views."
Thirty-one percent of Christians surveyed believe that President Obama will be able to save the economy. One responder felt that the prayers of faithful Christians would help the President succeed, stating that Obama would succeed "because most Christians will be praying for the country and for him." "He may not have all the answers, but God will guide him to solve the economy," another Christian stated. "I believe that he can help improve it but it will take time and effort from all Americans," said one responder, adding "He can't save it all by himself, but he can lead and guide us to make the right choices to help us get there."
Twenty-one percent of Christians said that they were unsure about whether of not the economy can be saved under an Obama administration. "I believe he has very good intentions but it's going to take a lot more then one man," said one responder. "Really, I don't know if he can save the economy, it is up to all of us to work together to build it in spite of the set backs," another Christian stated.
